Please note: Many of our German specialty beers come from small, local breweries that barely export. These breweries often use a BBD (Best Before Date) of only 6 months. This is the date up to which the brewer guarantees optimal quality and the beer is preferably consumed.

The actual shelf life of these beers is generally significantly longer (often around 12 months), provided they are stored correctly. Due to the small-scale import and limited availability, it may happen that a beer is close to its BBD upon delivery. This is a deliberate choice to be able to make these unique, locally produced beers available outside of Germany.
