Augustiner Helles | Helles

Please note: Many of our German specialty beers come from small, local breweries that barely export. These breweries often use a BBD (best-before date) of only 6 months. This is the date by which the brewer guarantees optimal quality and the beer is preferably consumed.

The actual shelf life of these beers is generally significantly longer (often about 12 months), provided they are stored correctly. Due to small-scale imports and limited availability, it may occur that a beer is close to its BBD upon delivery. This is a conscious choice to make these unique, locally produced beers available outside of Germany.
