Characteristics of Schwarzbier:
Color: Very dark, almost black and opaque, created by the use of highly roasted malts.
Taste: Hints of roasted malt, chocolate, or coffee, combined with a refined hop bitterness and a surprisingly smooth, crisp finish. It is lighter and less heavy than a stout or a porter.
Alcohol content: Usually between 4.5% and 5% ABV.
