For this special Christmas blend, the master brewer selects a combination of barrel-aged Quadrupel and young Quadrupel. The tannins from the barrels form a harmonious whole with the rich notes of the specialty malts in the Quadrupel beer. The combination of the taste of wood aging and the young Quadrupel beer creates a unique and powerful blend. Thanks to bottle fermentation, the taste evolves year after year. The Christmas blend has an intense dark brown color. Depending on the origin of the barrel, this maturation will also yield different aromas. New wood of American and French origin is used, as well as recycled barrels from whisky, rum, Bordeaux, calvados, etc.
