A Scottish beer of imperial strength, brewed with a rich base of Golden Promise malt and a subtle lift of crystal rye, then aged for 8 months in Auchroisk Speyside whisky casks. The nose contains layers of oaked whisky, gentle spice, and caramel, while the palate offers decadent notes of fruitcake, raisins, tobacco, and sticky toffee pudding, all wrapped in a warming whisky character and a smooth, lingering finish.

Following the launch of our incredibly popular imperial brown ale in 2017, the next logical step was to barrel-age the beer. We aged the beer for 6 months in Heaven Hill Bourbon casks and then re-fermented it with premium maple syrup. The rich aroma of maple and vanilla from the bourbon wood will entice your taste buds before you even take a sip. When you do, you are treated to a rich, sticky mouthfeel with a rounded bourbon flavor and a sweet, dessert-like finish that will leave you looking forward to your next tasting.
